Course Description

Servicing the needs of special education students is a legal and moral requirement that can be overwhelming for teachers and school leaders.   This course guides educators through the history of legislation which impacts special education programing and helps educators understand their responsibilities to students.  Key elements of the course include deepening understanding of FAME and IDEA.  This course helps educators recognize different types of special needs and guides teachers as they plan to meet the individual and unique needs of students.
